Engineering Machining Apprentice

We have an exciting opportunity to join our 2024 apprenticeship programme starting in September 2024, as CNC Machinist Apprentice. We pride ourselves in producing high precision components for very diverse customers. This includes Space, Science, EV & Motorsport to name a few. We strive for high quality, on time delivered components to our valued customers and always look to go that extra yard as and when required.

The primary role of this individual is to be able to manufacture high precision components using the various machine tools within Pure Innovate.

  • 3 axis Milling Centre
  • 5 axis Milling Centre
  • CNC Lathe
  • CMM Measuring machine

Fusion Tool Path Programming Software

Candidate skills and qualities required:

• Practically minded
• Effective communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving skills
• IT skills including basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work under minimum supervision
• Ability to work within a Team
• Can do attitude

Qualifications required:

5 GCSEs grades 9-4 / A*- C (or equivalent) including Maths, and English Language or English Literature

Prospects:

The goal is very much to train this individual such that this apprenticeship leads to a Full Time Permanent position. Given the diversity and technology Pure Innovate are exposed to, it is highly probable that different manufacturing technologies would be brought in-house which would necessitate additional training.
