Apprentice Mechatronics Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Mechatronics Engineer. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers to develop skills in mechatronics, integrating mechanical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, control engineering, and systems design.

Working week 39 hours
Wage £23,200

You will be provided with comprehensive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to attend relevant courses and workshops to further develop your skills in mechatronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechatronic systems and components.
  • Work on the assembly and maintenance of mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Support the creation and updating of technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and user manuals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality standards in the workplace.

Candidate skills and qualities required:

  • A strong interest in engineering and technology.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, Science, and a technical subject. A-Level qualifications or equivalent in relevant subjects would be advantageous.

MTC Training eligibility: 5 GCSE's grades 9-4 / A*- C (or equivalent) including Maths and English Language or English Literature
