Apprentice CNC Technician

Working week 37.5 hours
Wage £16,000
  • Conventional and CNC Milling, Turning of components to drawn specifications
  • Handling of and occasional modifications/additions, in line with Engineering Change Control Procedures and R&D Requirements.
  • Reading, understanding and utilising engineering drawings, build procedures and standard operating procedures to ensure builds are completed to the CE and UKCA regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean organised personal work area and wider shop floor, using 5S principles.
  • Agreeing relevant individual/personal objectives, targets and success criteria for assigned activities and own area of work that contribute to the success of the wider business.
  • Agreeing on job requirements and competencies, participating in relevant training and development and asking for support as required.
  • Monitoring and sharing own progress and addressing any changes, taking corrective action as required.
  • Communicating regularly with other members of the team, department and business to ensure a rapid two-way flow of information and contribution to effective team working.

MTC Training eligibility: 5 GCSE's grades 9-4 / A*- C (or equivalent) including Maths and English Language or English Literature
