A CIMA charted accountant, Emma began her career serving a portfolio of clients at an accountancy firm before moving into an accountant role at a private race car company. In 2016, she joined MTC Training as a Project Accountant, quickly progressing to Finance Manager later that year. She established the business’s financial and reporting structure as well as holding overall responsibility for the finances.
During this time, she led MTC Training’s successful application onto the Register of Apprenticeship Providers (RoATP), enabling the business to provide levy funded apprenticeships as an independent training provider.
Following the successful growth of MTC Training’s provision delivered from the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC) in Coventry, Emma led MTC Training’s successful bid to become the training provider for the new ‘Phase 2’ training centre on UKAEA’s Culham Science Centre, Oxfordshire Advanced Skills (OAS). She oversaw the fit out and mobilisation of the brand new training centre, which is now responsible for training delivery to over 200 apprentices. In 2019 she was appointed Operations Manager, and holds overall responsibility for OAS operations, as well as retaining her financial duties for the rest of the business.
Alongside this, she is the MTC lead in UKAEA’s ‘Access and Awareness’ initiative, which aims reach and support a more diverse range of learners to fulfil their potential through apprenticeships. Emma is also undertaking an Executive MBA at Cranfield University.
