Jeff is an experienced voice of change in the education sector, having started his career as a teacher in the South Wales Valley. He left the teaching profession to work with the Welsh government, spending seven years building the Welsh national curriculum in languages and supporting and coaching trainee teachers to embrace a more interactive and practical way of teaching languages.
He then turned his focus to vocational subjects, developing qualifications supporting workforce mobilisation, before spending 15 years at the University for Industry (now Learn Direct), developing online courses in the early days of the internet.
As well as supporting and coaching senior leaders through his own business, Ariege, Jeff has served as director of diversity across the Association of Colleges and Education & Training Federation. Today, he shares his vast expertise on several boards, including the Learning and Work Institute Wales, Groundwork Wales, the Institute of Employability Professionals, Ballet Cymru and of course MTC Training.
