Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating CNC machining centres and lathes.
- Learning to use CAD/CAM software
- Producing small to medium batch components, plus prototypes.
- Working collaboratively as a team to learn existing manufacture processes and quality control.
- Working with a variety of materials from plastics, aluminium and stainless steels.
- Learn CNC programming on various control systems, basic understanding of G-code.
- Learn the principles of machining to produce components to tight tolerances, from engineering drawings and models.
- Maintaining production records to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and company procedure.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative.
Please note: the successful candidate would be working in a workshop environment, working with heavy machinery, oils and a vast range of different materials. You would need to provide maintenance to machinery, cleaning out machines and will be on your feet for the vast majority of the day.

MTC Training eligibility: 5 GCSE's grades 9-4 / A*- C (or equivalent) including Maths and English Language or English Literature
