We’re excited to reveal that work has begun on the OAS extension, with the ground breaking ceremony taking place on 27 July! The build is scheduled to take around 52 weeks, with the new facility ready to receive its first cohorts of learners in September 2023. The extension will add a further 2,355 square metres of space for an extra 90 learners, helping us to increase our impact by supporting even more people and businesses in the local community to gain the skills they need for success.
Meanwhile, our Phase 3 curriculum work continues at pace – the new Space graduate development programme is now completed and the Space CPD courses are close behind. Our new level 4 Space apprenticeship programme has also been approved by IfATE (Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education), ready for delivery from September 2023.
Last but not least, the team is about to begin curriculum development on our new Automation and Controls level 4 apprenticeship programme, which we expect to be completed by March 2023, again with delivery scheduled from the following September.
