OAS, Oxfordshire’s leading training centre for advanced engineering apprenticeships, has been appointed to provide apprentice training from September 2020 for local packaging specialist, Oxford Packaging Solutions.
The new agreement will initially see two Oxford Packaging Solutions apprentices embark on OAS’s Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship from September this year as the SME looks to develop its workforce. Oxford Packaging Solutions will then look to continue to utilise OAS’s full-service solution on a biennial basis.
Oxford Packaging Solutions is based in South Oxfordshire and is built on a heritage of producing high-quality plastic containers for the food and drink, personal care, household, and medical sectors. It specialises in precision blow moulding and works closely with all the leading global packaging equipment manufacturers to deliver the latest plastic packaging innovations and scalable solutions with an environmental focus.
This announcement is just the latest step in the journey of OAS and reflects its commitment to supporting the economic, social and cultural success of the region as the leading provider in hi-tech engineering apprenticeships and training in the area.
As the partnership progresses, Oxford Packaging Solutions may also look to utilise OAS’s other training programmes including its new Level 4 Apprenticeship to upskill members of its existing workforce.
