Our Level 2 Nuclear Apprenticeships build on a strong foundation of traditional skills overlaid with themes of emerging technologies, preparing you for a rapidly developing nuclear sector. The programme enables you to progress your career by developing into a multi-skilled engineer through process ownership.
During your fourteen-month apprenticeship, you will spend most of your time on-site with a business and will travel to the Oxfordshire Advanced Skills (OAS) training centre for additional training on a block release model. During this time, you will have one-to-one support from an industry expert, gaining the confidence, skills, and knowledge to carry out your work safely while helping to optimise business operations.
This hands-on programme prepares you for operational roles in the nuclear sector, focusing on plant safety, equipment handling, and radiological protection.
