MTC TRAINING ACCREDITED TO MATRIX STANDARD FOR SECOND TIME

Award recognises MTC’s continued commitment to providing effective support to apprentices and employers

MTC Training, the training provider at OAS, have been re-accredited to the matrix Standard, demonstrating the high quality personal and professional support they continue to provide to their applicants, apprentices and employers.

The achievement encompasses the MTC’s level 3 and 4 engineering apprenticeship programmes across both of the business’s purpose-built training centres; the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC) in Coventry, and Oxfordshire Advanced Skills (OAS) in Abingdon.

The matrix Standard is the international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance (IAG), either as their sole purpose or as part of their service offering. This is the second time MTC Training has been matrix accredited, following their first three-year certification in 2019.

Anonymous feedback collected from employers and learners as part of the assessment process praised MTC Training’s approach to providing individualised support at every stage of the apprenticeship journey, commenting that that they had “outperformed our expectations” and “helped [learners] to build life skills” alongside their technical development. The report also highlighted key strengths, such as small class sizes, exceptional facilities, and a proactive approach to customer feedback and improvement.

Roger Chapman, Head of the matrix Service for The Growth Company said:

“This is a fantastic achievement for MTC Training and I would like to congratulate the team on their success. We believe that at the heart of high-quality advice and support services are strong leadership, excellent service and a focus on continuous improvement, all underpinned by effective use of the resources available. The matrix Standard is designed to benchmark organisations against best practice in these areas. With their accreditation success, MTC Training is working to provide the best possible support to their clients.”

Managing director of MTC Training, David Grailey, said that the achievement was part of the business’s strategy to providing industry leading services that exceeded the expectations of all customers:

“We’re creating the next generation of engineering talent that will strengthen the future of advanced manufacturing in the UK. Maintaining our matrix Standard accreditation is part of MTC Training’s commitment to providing industry leading support throughout our training programmes, ensuring that our apprentices fulfil their potential, both professionally and personally.

This achievement is testament to the performance and dedication of our training team, whose expertise and advice help us to deliver maximum impact and benefit for our learners and their employers.”
